Mr Panchmatia studied Medicine at Cambridge University. This included a clinical attachment at Yale University, USA. He furthered his education as a Fulbright Scholar at Harvard University, USA and was a visiting scholar at the Barrow Neurological Institute. Mr Panchmatia was subsequently awarded a Trauma & Orthopaedic Spine Fellowship at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, USA. In 2015, Mr Panchmatia was appointed as Consultant Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon at Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Hospitals, London (GSTT) specialising in spinal surgery. He is also the Clinical Governance Lead for trauma and orthopaedic surgery at GSTT. Mr Panchmatia treats elective and acute spinal conditions, offering both non-surgical and surgical treatments.

Mr Panchmatia accepts all cases including personal injuries; clinical negligence cases; work-related injuries and diseases; industrial injuries and disability reports; sports injuries, and road traffic accidents.
Mr Panchmatia’s spinal medico-legal interests include: whiplash; cauda equina syndrome; spinal trauma; spine fractures; osteoporotic fractures; spinal cord injuries including paralysis; failed back surgery; foot drop; back pain; neck pain; spinal tumours; spinal infections; soft tissue spine injuries; musculoskeletal spinal conditions; chronic back pain; orthopaedic conditions accompanying diseases of the spine; disc disease including disc prolapse/ disc protrusion/ bulging disc; stiff back; stiff neck; arm pain; leg pain and sciatica; shoulder pain;; numbness and paraesthesia in the arms and legs; lumbar and low back pain; pins and needles in the arms and legs; thoracic pain; cervical pain; thoracolumbar pain; neurological spinal injuries; degenerative conditions including spinal stenosis; spinal conditions associated with hypermobility including Ehlers-Danlos syndrome; myelopathy; deformities including spondylolisthesis;coccygeal pain (coccydynia).
