Mr Drampalos gained his MD in 2003 from the University of Bologna, and later achieved his MSc and PhD, specialising in Orthopeadics. Since then, Mr Drampalos has gained vast clinical experience, training in Hospitals in both Greece and the UK. Currently, he is maintains the position of Chief Foot & Ankle Orthopaedic Consultant for NHS Forth Valley, Orthopaedic Consultant for the Circle Health Group Kings Park Hospital, and runs a general orthopaedic trauma clinic, treating a full range of orthopaedic conditions. Mr Drampalos is also an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Glasgow.
Clinical Interests
While Mr Drampalos’ orthopaedic trauma practice covers all musculoskeletal injuries, his subspeciality interest is in foot and ankle surgery, including sport injuries, bunion surgery and infected metalwork. During a previous position at the Major Trauma Centre in Machester, Mr Drampalos focused on foot, ankle, and lower limb severe trauma and bone infections related to metalwork. He also treats flatfoot, high arch, forefoot deformities and Achilles tendonitis and tendon injuries using both open or minimally invasive surgery (MIS) techniques.
