Clinical Practice & Experience
Professor Perry is a Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery and a Consultant Children’s Orthopaedic Surgeon at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool. Professor Perry trained in Liverpool and Warwick, before completing a fellowship at SickKids Hospital, Toronto, Canada. He then joined the University of Oxford as an Associated Professor and fellow of Wolfson College, Oxford, become moving back to Liverpool as the Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery. Professor Perry is the first orthopaedic surgeon to be awarded a prestigious NIHR Research Professorship award from the National Institute for Health Research.
Clinical Interests
Professor Perry has clinical interests in hip disease and trauma with key interests in Perthes’ disease, Slipped Epiphysis and Developmental Dysplasia of the Hip (DDH). He a national clinical advisor for hip screening to the NHS England antenatal and newborn programme advisory group.
