Stem cells are produced in bone marrow and are the precursors to red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets. A stem cell transplant is performed in cases of leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma. A stem cell transplant may be allogenic (from a donor) or autologous (using the persons own cells). Our expert witnesses are available to provide their expert medico legal opinion on cases involving stem cell transplant, it's indications, how it is performed, and it's consequences for both donor and recipient.
