Medico-Legal experience

Mr Rajan is happy to receive instructions from Claimant and Defendant law firms in personal injury and clinical negligence cases.

Clinical Practice & Experience

Mr Rajan began his training at The Leeds Teaching Hospital in February 2005. He completed a range of training posts in breast surgery and general surgery while at Leeds. In 2013 Mr Rajan undertook a National TIG Oncoplastic Breast Fellowship post at The Nottingham University Hospital. Following this he undertook locum oncoplastic breast surgeon posts at Bolton and Lancashire Hospitals. While at Bolton, he was the research lead for the breast unit. Since2022 Mr Rajan has held the post of Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon, Cancer and MDT Lead for Breast Service at Birmingham University Hospital, as well as being educational and clinical supervisor for higher surgical trainees.

Clinical Interests

Mr. Rajan specialises in the management of patients presenting with both benign and malignant breast conditions. He offers benign, oncological and axillary surgeries, therapeutic mammoplasties, symmetrising breast reduction, perforator flap based partial breast reconstruction and immediate breast reconstruction with implants.

Research Interests

Mr Rajan has a research interest in investigating male breast cancer using transcriptomic and immunohistochemistry.

Summary of Publications

Mr Rajan has published widely in peer-reviewed journals on male breast cancer and biomarker studies.

Teaching & Training

Mr Rajan has lectured Manchester University where he is an Academic Advisor.
